We're now back from several days in Southern California, taking the kids to Disneyland and Legoland. I'll be posting a little about the trip later. Both Disneyland and Legoland were immense fun, but it's also good to be back.
I think I'd love being a professional travel blogger: going places and writing about them in real-time. Forget last year's travel guide: people want to know if the hotel management has its act together this week, and if the shrimp at the seafood place around the corner is fresh tonight. This is a variation of the "blogger as corporate ethnographer" idea I floated on Future Now a while ago, except less viable, and more fun.
Though who knows? How long before some brave airline or hotel offers to comp well-traveled a -trafficked bloggers in exchange for being written about-- good or bad?
