On Saturday we slept in, then set off walking (too windy to bike) to go to the Fitzwilliam Museum. On the way we stopped at the Cambridge Central Library. I had gotten my library card in the mail the day before, and since it was "save our libraries" day I figured I should show my support by checking out a book or two. I went for some old favorites, I figured I should re-read some Dick Francis books while I am living so close to Newmarket.
On the way into town we heard a voice say "Mrs. Pang?!?" and there was Kayla, who I taught in 8th grade. She is a sophomore in college now, so it was a while ago. She is on break, and traveling with her mother.
And no, I have not taken to wearing my hair that way, there is nothing to do with it in the wind. We had a nice chat. She and her mother were brave enough to head out on a punt, and that was where they were off to next. It is a small world.
We loved the Fitzwilliam, but no photos allowed, so I just took a few outside.
Here is Alex on our way out. It was, amazingly, warm enough to not need the coat. As long as we were out of the wind.
We bought some food on the way home and Alex made stir fry.
